Sworn Personnel Field Operations
Division 1 Lieutenant
2
Sergeants
8 Sheriff's
Officers
1 Civilian
Staff
The Field Operations Division's assignment is to serve all subpoenas,
Summons & Complaints and Documents that are generated by the New Jersey
Superior Court and the Attorney's that practice within them. Another major
function of the Civil Division is the service of Domestic Violence Temporary
Restraining Orders. (TROs)
These officers are also responsible for carrying out Civil Levys and
enforcing Sheriff's Sales.
All of these documents must be served in a timely fashion and their
assignment is very demanding.
As demanding as
these responsibilities are, they represent only half of what the division is
responsible for.
Another Important aspect to this division
is to locate and apprehend subjects who have failed to appear in the Superior
Court of New Jersey, Cumberland Division.
Many different types of warrants are kept on file in the Warrant
Division and the officers are assigned to research those warrants, locate the
subject, in state or out of state, and to eventually bring about their arrest.
At the present time there are approximately 3,000 warrants in their
files, including Non Support warrants, Criminal Indictment warrants, Juvenile
warrants, and a variety of other types of warrants.
